My Studio
This is where I work. I love the natural light, my tv and stereo.

My torch is made by GTT and is a Phantom torch. I work mainly with pyrex, also known as borosilicate glass. I started with soft glass and still, once or twice a year, mess around with it. Boro has my heart though!

My oxygen hose is buried in pipe underground and goes back to the garage where the tanks are kept. My propane hose on the other wall leads outside to where the tank is kept.

The ventilation system is something I thought up after seeing
a system online for solder stations. They have a smaller version at each
station. The fan is RVF-6
Series Exterior Centrifugal Fan. The
reasoning behind my putting in this type of ventilation is that I wanted
to
a) not have a hanging range hood mounted in my ceiling.
b) even mounted at the recommended height, range hoods do not capture all the
fumes created. The heaviest metals released float downward and not up and
out.
This system captures the flame
exhaust at the source. The fan is mounted outside with a hole thru the wall for
the exhaust hose.
The variable speed controller allows me to run the fan at the speed best for my
working conditions. This fan is very powerful and I only run it at about 1/4
speed. I love it!!!!!
