My time schedule is really out of wack. I feel energized more in the evening now for some reason. Laura had a sleep over with a friend Hannah. Her birthday is tomorrow! Happy Birthday Hannah! She is very interested in beading. Laura and Hannah want matching beads so that will be on my list of to-do's this week.
I have one show & tell this week, a pair of socks. I am so thankful I know how to knit. It saves my sanity more times than I can count. The detriment is though that a) I always want more yarn, b) I sometimes should be doing other things than knitting. Se la vie!

The pattern is from Wendy Johnson http://www.wendyknits.net/
The yarn is Claudia's handpaints. YUM!
I have to say this is the first pair of socks that I made that fit wonderfully well and feel yummy on! I now love toe up socks!
Instead of moving the pile of jewelry I was going through, I photo'd them too! lol

Hello world!
I took a long break from blogging, and have been caving for awhile. All is good and happy so no worries there. Life just gets in the way of being an artist and an artist gets in the way of creating sometimes.

I have lots to post, photos and fun stuff but just wanted to just say HI!
I've been reading Dan Millman, contemplating life, finding ideas galore but never following through with them and concentrating on daughter Laura's wondrous teenage struggles.

Your Life Path Number is 11
Your purpose in life is to inspire others

Your amazing energy draws people to you, and you give them great insight in return.
You hold a great amount of power over others, without even trying.
You have the makings of an inventor, artist, religious leader, or prophet.

In love, you are sensitive and passionate. You connect with your partner on a very deep level.

You have great abilities, but you are often way too critical of yourself.
You don't fit in - and instead of celebrating your differences, you dwell on them.
You have high expectations of yourself. But sometimes you set them too high and don't achieve anything.

And a secret project I've been working on

A short update. Here is a recent project I finished, a clapotis shawl. It was made with noro silk garden #208. I hated it at first but now love it. It is so yummy! I want to block it but not have the ridges disappear. Maybe misting the edges instead of doing a whole wet block. All that is wrong is that I want the edges straight on the ends....damn perfectionist I am.

Knit with size 7 circs and I used 6 1/2 skeins following the pattern as written.

Here is a pic of a wonderful gift I received from Linda Lehman. She is the author of the book:  Bead Crochet Jewelry: Tips, Tricks, and 15 Beautiful Projects.
I really love the color mix she did! Linda's website is: http://emporiumofwearableart.com/

I am trying to finish a huge list of things this week. Catch up on paperwork, bills, do taxes, spring clean office/studio, list stuff on Ebay.............etc..........I think I'd rather just knit!!!

Wednesday Evening: Twice in One day!!

Since I am here taking photos I finally am taking some of the knitting I've been doing lately:
